Shirley M. Rapton, 82 of Sylvania, OH, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 3, 1934, in Toledo, OH. Shirley was the daughter of Emmett and Catherine (Smith) Richardson. She married Nicholas J. Rapton on February 3, 1962. He preceded her in death on August 3, 2007. Shirley enjoyed countless trips to Greektown, casinos, playing bingo, shopping, along with her several vacation cruises but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. We were truly blessed with the best, with her endless love.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Cathy Miller, Pam Rapton and Chris (David) Rumpf; sister, Shirlene Pack; grandchildren, Ron, Shaun, Nicholas, Alex, Karissa, Korie; and several great grandchildren. Shirley was also preceded in death by her siblings, Charlotte, Jim and Don and son-in-law, Dennis Miller.
Visitation will be held from 2-9 pm, Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, November 17, 2016. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, Ohio. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
